The area offers a number of country pubs for food and drink, and the sandy beaches of Woolacombe and the coast of North Devon are within driving distance across the eye-catching countryside of Exmoor National Park. Exmoor offers walks and cycle routes suitable for all ages and the area also features several angling lakes, children’s attractions and golf courses.

The owners of Barleycorn House are dog lovers and avid walkers, so dogs are welcome and they can advise on local walks. Families are welcome too: the property features a family suite with a double bed and a connecting room with two single beds, as well as an en-suite bathroom with shower and bath facilities. There is also a guest dining room & guest lounge with a TV, DVD player and stereo. The garden has a patio area were guests are welcome to sit.
